Meetings held at the post the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7:30pm.

    The women of the American Legion Auxiliary make a difference in the lives of all Americans. They educate children, organize community events and help our nation's veterans through legislative action and volunteerism. The Legion Auxiliary is the world's largest women's patriotic service organization with nearly 1 million members in 10,100 communities. Auxiliary members are a unique group of women, joined in the fellowship of volunteerism, patriotism and dedication to veterans, young people and communities.

Some of what we do is donate to 7 Veterans Hospitals, 3 Fisher Houses which house veterans family's while the Veteran is in the hospital, 6 Veterans Nursing homes , 7 V. A. Clinic's, 1 Health Care Center. Plus the Comfort Articles we send to each of the Hospitals and the U.S.O.. The donations for the Veterans are very important to our Unit. Along with the veterans donations we have obligations for our Children Youth. Which concise of 2 Hospitals for children's care, the Mailman's Center for Child Development, Special Olympics and our American Legion Child Welfare Foundation. We donate $400 to a locate school for supplies. B.C.C. $.300 Scholarship. We also donate to the Disaster Relief program. Then we have our Girl State which we send 4 girls to Tallahassee. Membership Eligibility

    Women are eligible for membership in the Auxiliary if they are themselves a veteran who served honorably or if they fall into one of the following categories: 

Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter,     Granddaughter, Great Granddaughter,     Grandmother, Great Grandmother

of an active duty service member or veteran who served honorably during any of the eligible war eras listed in the table at right. Step-relatives in the categories above, such as step-mother, step-sister, step-daughter, are also eligible.

Additional Considerations:

1. A woman eligible for membership through a veteran who, now deceased, was not a member of The American Legion must submit the veteran’s DD214 record with her application to verify eligibility.

2. If a request for membership is based on a family member who is living, that person must be a member of The American Legion. 

3. A woman veteran may join the American Legion Auxiliary without being a member of The American Legion if her dates of service fall within at least one of the categories above. If, however, her family members wish to join the Auxiliary or the Sons of The American Legion through her service, she must first become a member of The American Legion.
